Essay
I have researched the sites of the causes and the effects of the Cuban Missile Crisis for the days of Friday and Monday and found three good sites.  http://www.markedbyteachers.com/gcse/history/the-cuban-missile-crisis-causes-and-consequences.html, in this site it says that this event was the closest there was to becoming a nuclear war, but was stopped but great things came to the effects to Cuba, in May 17, 1960 US made a broadcasting station so they would overthrow Castro. And then the US controlled all the oil in Cuba, and then stopped the process of making oil in Cuba which paralyzed their economy as well as their energy source. And in 1980 the US stopped the trade of sugar to them which cut their supplies down 80%, which weakened their economy even more.

In the site http://www.johndclare .net/cold_war16.htm, Khrushchev lost prestige and china broke from Russia. But Kennedy lost prestige, he was considered as the people who faced down on Russians. Both sides were also scared and are more careful now, and had set up a “hot line” to talk directly to one another during a crisis. And in 1963 there was an agreement on a Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. And Cuba was the beginning of the end of the Cold War. Cuba remained a communist dictatorship, and America left it as it is.

And in the site http://www.buzzle.com/articles/causes-and-effects-of-the-cold-war.html, both the United States of America and the Soviet Union built up huge arsenals of atomic weapons and ballistic missiles. A group named NATO and the Warsaw Pact were made it lead to violent fights like the Vietnam and Korean War. And the Soviet Union fell for bad economy. Later the Berlin Wall fell and the both German sides were united again. And America was considered the sole power of the world. Later communism fell around the world.

The Origin of this site was http://www.glynn.k12.ga.us/~pwilliam/BHS/academics/junior/luko/2005/ashleyt13513f.htm, created by an 11th grader for an English project in November 2005. Who was helped by his advanced U.S History Teacher.

The purpose of this paper is to get a good grade from his English Teacher, and to show and tell him how was the Cuban Missile crisis, and what was happening during the crisis. And who and what were doing during this time.

The value of this paper is to tell people what was happening during the missile crisis, and how it started as well and the consequences because of all this. And how well this student knew of the crisis and how much information he could put down.

The limitations of this paper is that the paper is too short, so he probably just put a little bit of information and probably not even put the important information either. Plus the teacher he got the information from was a senior in high school at the time.
